Trying to figure out which therapist is right for you? I’ve been there...knowing you want counseling, but not knowing where to start.
It can be an intimidating time, worrying if your problem is too big or if there’s even hope. During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and create a plan together.
I have a passion for working with couples and helping them find healing within their most cherished relationship. In our work together, I help couples find the patterns in their relationship they want to change and create a new way forward. A fulfilling relationship includes being able to be seen and heard by your partner and I would like to help you towards that. I am also PREPARE/ENRICH certified, which means I’m equipped to help premarital couples learn more about each other, communicate better, and build a strong foundation for marriage. Additionally, I work with adults through a variety of issues including divorce adjustment, life transitions, anxiety, and self-esteem.
My hope is that the clients I work with will feel heard, understood, and empowered to make change in their lives. I work hard to offer clients a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to counseling. It’s important to me to create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone including all gender presentations, sexualities, and religious/spiritual beliefs.
I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN in 2018. I moved to Grand Rapids in 2020 and West Michigan has been a great place to call home.
